Behaviour Mentor – Watford (Temp to Perm)
Full-Time | Term-Time Only | April 2026 Start
Salary: £90–£110 per day (dependent on experience)

A supportive and forward-thinking school in Watford is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join the team from April 2026. This is a temp-to-perm role, ideal for individuals passionate about helping young people overcome behavioural and emotional barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-class support and deliver targeted small-group behavioural interventions

  • Mentor students to build resilience, confidence, and motivation

  • Support pupils in managing emotional and behavioural challenges that affect learning

  • Collaborate with teachers to maintain consistent behaviour expectations across the school

  • Record, monitor, and analyse behaviour incidents to inform intervention strategies

  • Contribute proactively to the school’s pastoral care and wellbeing initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience supporting young people with behavioural or emotional needs in a school or youth setting

  • Strong communication skills and ability to quickly build rapport with students

  • Calm, patient, and consistent approach to promoting positive behaviour

  • Commitment to fostering emotional regulation, resilience, and wellbeing in pupils

  • Proactive, collaborative, and growth-oriented mindset

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
