Salary: £34,398 – £46,839 (dependent on experience)

A well-regarded primary school in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an enthusiastic and committed KS2 Teacher to join its team from September 2026. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, supportive staff, and focus on the academic and personal development of every child.

About the Role

You will take responsibility for a Year 5 class, delivering engaging lessons that challenge and inspire pupils while supporting their growth in preparation for Year 6. The role offers the opportunity to foster independence, resilience, and a love of learning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering stimulating, well-structured lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum

  • Differentiating teaching to meet a range of abilities and learning styles

  • Delivering high-quality teaching in reading, writing, and mathematics to prepare pupils for Year 6

  • Monitoring progress, providing constructive feedback, and identifying next steps

  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and a positive classroom culture

  • Collaborating with colleagues on planning, assessment, and curriculum development

  • Building strong relationships with parents and carers

  • Contributing to enrichment activities and the wider school community

About You

The school is seeking a teacher who is passionate about Upper Key Stage 2 education and committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential.

You will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Have experience teaching in KS2 (Year 5 experience desirable)

  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge across the KS2 curriculum

  • Be confident in classroom management and reflective practice

  • Show genuine enthusiasm for supporting both the academic and personal development of pupils

  • Hold an enhanced DBS or be willing to apply
