Science Teacher Needed

Daily Rate: £34,398–£45,037

 

Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Science Teacher looking for a new opportunity this Easter? A well-regarded secondary school in Beaconsfield is seeking a committed Science specialist to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.

The school is known for its supportive leadership, positive learning environment, and strong emphasis on academic achievement. With well-resourced laboratories and a collaborative science department, this role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire curiosity and a love of scientific enquiry in students.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)

  • Teach across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, depending on specialism

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND and EAL

  • Prepare students for GCSE Science examinations

  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback

  • Contribute to departmental planning and the wider science curriculum

  • Promote a safe, practical, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages investigation and critical thinking

 

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching Science in UK secondary schools

  • Be passionate about science education and student development

  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Be committed to professional development and collaborative working
