Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Start: September 2026

Full Time: Temporary to Permanent

Salary: £90-£120

As a Teaching Assistant, you support students as they tackle new concepts, build confidence, and work through academic or emotional challenges. The role is full of variety, no two moments are ever the same, and that’s where the excitement lies. It calls for patience, creativity, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping young people develop and thrive.

Important responsibilities-

  • Support in tailoring routines for specific needs
  • Help to track the development and progress consistently throughout terms to ensure the necessary praise.
  • Works collaboratively with teachers and wider staff, contributing ideas and helping to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
  • Be involved in delivering engaging lessons to make lessons enjoyable, understandable and fun.

What you’ll bring:

  • Good understanding of the KS2 curriculum, and the willingness to follow it.
  • Has previous experience working with children in a school setting and genuinely want to support them through encouragement.
  • Builds safe, trusting relationships with pupils, where they feel comfortable to engage in lessons.
  • Show patience, resilience, and a positive attitude when supporting pupils through challenges or changes in behaviour.
