We’re seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work alongside teachers in supporting progress, confidence, and engagement for all pupils, in a school that truly values teamwork and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting a range of learners by adapting activities, resources, and approaches to meet the individual needs of pupils.
  • Communicating effectively with teachers, support staff, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent, joined‑up support.
  • Contributing to students’ personal development by encouraging independence, confidence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours.
  • Assisting in delivering engaging, accessible learning experiences that spark curiosity and help pupils feel motivated each day.
  • Using clear, supportive language and vocabulary to help pupils build understanding and communicate their ideas confidently.
  • Encouraging thoughtful communication, turn‑taking, and positive interaction through structured activities, modelling, and guided support.
  • Observing and monitoring pupils’ progress, sharing insights with teachers, and helping provide constructive feedback that supports next steps in learning.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has experience working with children in a school environment and genuinely enjoys supporting them through practical, face‑to‑face learning.
  • Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents, ensuring clear communication and creating a supportive, trusting environment.
  • Feels confident working collaboratively within a dedicated team and contributing to the wider needs of the school.
  • Has the ability to adapt support strategies, resources, and activities to meet the varied needs, abilities, and learning styles of different students.
