Key Stage 2 Supply Teacher – East Grinstead

Location: East Grinstead & Surrounding Areas Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time – Flexible Days Salary: Paid to scale – M1 to UPS3 or £130–£150 per day Hours: School hours (typically 08:30–15:30)

 

Teaching KS2 with Flexibility and Impact

This KS2 supply teaching role is ideal for teachers who enjoy supporting pupils in Years 3–6 while keeping a flexible schedule. Whether you thrive teaching core subjects, enjoy preparing pupils for SATs, or love helping children develop independence and confidence, this role allows you to teach in a way that fits around your life.

We’re looking for enthusiastic and adaptable KS2 teachers to join our supply team in East Grinstead and the surrounding areas. Each placement offers a new classroom, new learners and fresh opportunities to make a meaningful difference in upper primary education.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering engaging lessons across KS2 year groups

  • Supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum subjects

  • Creating a positive, inclusive and well‑managed learning environment

  • Adapting quickly to different schools, routines and class abilities

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting pupil wellbeing

  • Working collaboratively with school staff and following school policies

 

What We’re Looking For

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching KS2 in primary settings

  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations

  • Confident classroom management and a proactive approach

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Someone reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic about teaching
