Cover Supervisor 

Location: Portsmouth
Hours: Full-time (term-time)
Start: ASAP / September
Pay: £100 – £130 per day

Are you confident working with young people and looking to gain valuable experience within secondary education?
Do you have the ability to manage a classroom and support students in their learning?

We are seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work within supportive secondary schools across the Portsmouth area. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers, graduates or experienced school support staff looking for long-term and flexible opportunities.

You will play an important role in ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absences while maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Supporting students to remain engaged in learning
• Supervising classes during teacher absence
• Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons
• Promoting a calm and purposeful learning environment
• Upholding safeguarding and school policies at all times

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with young people (school-based or otherwise)
• Confident classroom presence and communication skills
• Flexible, reliable and proactive attitude
• Ability to manage behaviour positively and effectively
• Strong organisational skills
• Passion for education and supporting students
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
