About the Role

We are recruiting compassionate and dependable SEN Supply Learning Support Assistants to support pupils across a range of SEN and specialist settings in Aylesbury. This flexible supply role is ideal for individuals seeking day-to-day work, short-term assignments, or longer-term placements while making a meaningful impact on the lives of children with additional needs.

You will be supporting pupils with a variety of needs, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, MLD, SLD, and complex needs, working within primary, secondary, and specialist provisions based on your experience and preferences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with special educational needs

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities

  • Assist with pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development

  • Implement individual support plans and behaviour management strategies

  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

  • Support with personal care where required, depending on the setting

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (formal or informal)

  • A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Flexibility to work across a range of SEN and specialist settings

  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs

  • Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
