About the Role

We are seeking a Food Technology Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Andover. This role is available for an Easter or September 2026 start, offering flexibility for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, encouraging students to develop practical cooking skills, nutritional understanding, and a passion for food preparation. The department is well-organised, with access to schemes of work and resources to support effective lesson delivery.

This role would suit both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a passion for practical and hands-on learning.

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching Food Technology or Design & Technology in UK secondary schools

  • Ability to teach KS3 and KS4

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • Passion for practical teaching and student engagement

  • A proactive and collaborative approach
