Start Date: Feburary 2026 Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (initially until July 2026)

Pay Range: £120 – £250 per day (depending on experience)

Overview

A secondary school in Fareham is seeking a Science Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This full-time, long-term position involves teaching Key Stages 3 and 4 and offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students through engaging, practical, and thought‑provoking lessons.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Assess, record, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that fosters academic growth.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department to share best practice and develop resources.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular and enrichment activities.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – desirable.
• Degree in Science or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4.
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Science.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Current valid DBS (on the Update Service) or willingness to obtain one.
• Enthusiastic, innovative, and committed to delivering engaging learning experiences.
