Primary Teaching Assistant – Supply Basis 

Location: Worthing, West Sussex 
Contract Type: Day-to-day cover, flexible working days 
Start Date: Immediate 

Salary: £92.63 – £100 per day (dependent on experience) 

About the Role: 
We are currently seeking a motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to support primary schools across Worthing, Lancing, and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education to gain experience and make a meaningful impact in the classroom. 

As a supply Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to support pupils across a range of year groups, helping to ensure a positive and productive learning environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support the delivery of engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum 

  • Assist the class teacher with classroom management and behaviour 

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils where needed 

  • Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials 

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all learners 

Essential Criteria: 

  • Experience working with children (school-based experience is desirable but not essential) 

  • Good understanding of the UK primary curriculum 

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills 

  • A positive, patient, and adaptable approach 

  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development 

Desirable Attributes: 

  • Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) 

  • A proactive and flexible attitude 

  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
