We’re Looking for an Inspirational English Teacher

Full Time: Temporary to Permanent

Salary: £29,344-£44,919

What would your day look like?

Your day will involve planning and delivering engaging English lessons that bring texts, ideas and discussions to life. You’ll support students with varying abilities, encouraging confident reading, thoughtful writing and clear communication. Working closely with colleagues, you’ll contribute to a positive classroom culture where students feel motivated, supported and challenged.

Can you?

  • Deliver engaging English lessons that inspire a love of reading, writing and discussion.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to support different learning styles and abilities.
  • Encourage confidence, resilience and independent thinking in students.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents and staff to support progress and wellbeing.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing clear feedback to support improvement.

What you’ll bring:

  • QTS is desirable, though applicants with relevant qualifications or experience are welcome to apply.
  • Experience working with secondary‑age students and a passion for English education.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • A reflective and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
  • A collaborative mindset, contributing positively to department and school life.
