Secondary Supply Teacher – East Grinstead

Location: East Grinstead & Surrounding Areas Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time – Flexible Days Salary: Paid to scale – M1 to UPS3 or £130–£150 per day Hours: School hours (typically 08:30–15:30)

This secondary supply teaching role is ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want the freedom to choose when and where they work. Whether you specialise in a particular subject or feel confident teaching across different areas, this role offers the chance to step into a range of classrooms while keeping your schedule flexible.

We’re looking for adaptable, confident and enthusiastic Secondary Supply Teachers to work across schools in East Grinstead and the surrounding areas. Each day brings a new environment, new students and fresh opportunities to make a positive impact.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Supporting students’ learning, progress and behaviour

  • Adapting quickly to different subjects, year groups and school settings

  • Creating a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment

  • Working collaboratively with school staff and following school policies

 

What We’re Looking For

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching in secondary settings

  • Strong classroom management and subject knowledge

  • Someone reliable, adaptable and confident in new environments

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
