Year 5 Class Maternity Teacher – Southampton

Location: Southampton

Start Date: June 1st 2026 – Until July 22nd 2026

Pay: MP £168 - £232 per day

Hours: Full-time, 8 am – 3:30 pm

Maternity cover from June until July

About the School:

Supply Desk are currently recruiting on the behalf of a Primary school in the centre of Southampton   who are looking to recruit a Year 5, strong teacher to work with a class for a month as maternity cover.  This is a short- term position where you will be teaching Year 5 in a Primary school that has an experienced Year 5 partner to support with planning and marking.

  • Suitable for an experienced teacher
  • Full planning and marking responsibilities
  • Good support from SLT and the wider school community
  • Understand how important the wider community is for the support of the school
  • Implement and deliver a balanced and holistic curriculum for all pupils, incorporating the National Curriculum.
  • Facilitate, support, and monitor the overall progress and development of all students.
  • Foster a learning environment that provides pupils with the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
