Classroom Support Assistant – East Grinstead

Location: East Grinstead & Surrounding Areas Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time – Flexible Days Daily Rate: £92.63 – £110 Hours: School hours (typically 08:30–15:30)

Supporting Pupils Across the Classroom

This Classroom Support Assistant role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference in their school day. Whether you have experience in education, care, youth work or are looking to start a rewarding new role, this position offers the chance to support pupils’ learning, confidence and wellbeing in a hands‑on way.

We’re looking for friendly, patient and reliable Classroom Support Assistants to work across primary and secondary schools in East Grinstead and the surrounding areas. You’ll help pupils stay engaged in lessons, support teachers with daily routines, and contribute to a calm, inclusive classroom environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting pupils during lessons, group work and classroom activities

  • Helping children stay focused, motivated and confident throughout the day

  • Assisting teachers with routines, preparation and general classroom tasks

  • Creating a positive, safe and welcoming learning environment

  • Adapting to different schools, age groups and classroom needs

  • Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work or similar)

  • A calm, patient and supportive approach

  • Confidence working in different school settings

  • A genuine interest in helping children learn and feel valued

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
