Supply Desk is working in partnership with a supportive and well-regarded primary school in Eton, seeking a committed and motivated Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a pivotal role within Key Stage 2 and guide pupils through one of the most important stages of their education.

About the Role

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing pupils for SATs and the transition to secondary school, while maintaining a positive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for a Year 6 class
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
  • Prepare pupils confidently for SATs, including targeted interventions
  • Plan, assess, and adapt learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Promote resilience, independence, and high expectations
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure strong pupil outcomes

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about Upper Key Stage 2 and ready to make a lasting impact.

You will ideally:

  • Hold QTS (ECTs considered; strong KS2 experience preferred)
  • Have experience teaching KS2, ideally Year 6
  • Be confident delivering SATs-focused teaching and interventions
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Be organised, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
  • Be reflective, positive, and keen to contribute to school life
