Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Eton, seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils as they transition into Key Stage 1, helping them build confidence, independence, and strong foundations for lifelong learning.

About the Role

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum, creating a classroom environment where children feel supported, motivated, and inspired to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative and inclusive lessons tailored to Year 1 pupils
  • Support children’s academic progress and social-emotional development
  • Build on phonics, early literacy, and numeracy skills
  • Create a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about early learning and committed to helping every child succeed.

You will ideally:

  • Have experience teaching Year 1 or Key Stage 1
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet diverse needs
  • Be patient, nurturing, and resilient
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
  • Be confident supporting phonics and early core skills development
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and families
  • Hold QTS (ECTs are welcome to apply)
