Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with SEN
  • Assist in delivering tailored learning plans and interventions
  • Encourage positive learning behaviours, independence, and confidence
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider support team
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
  • Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of special educational needs. This is a full-time role starting after Easter, with potential for a long-term or permanent opportunity for the right candidate. You will work alongside teachers and the SENCo to deliver personalised, engaging support that helps students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (desired but not essential)
  • Strong communication, patience, and empathy
  • A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
  • Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
