History Teacher in Secondary School based close to Southampton

Starting ASAP– Long term contract

Pay – £162 - 230

Location – Southampton

Hours - 8:00am – 4:00pm Temporary full-time

Are you passionate about inspiring young minds and shaping the next generation? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated History Teacher to join our team at Supply Desk. As a Secondary School History Teacher, you will have the opportunity to engage and educate students, fostering a love for history while providing a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications:

-          Bachelor's degree in History or related field (Master's degree preferred)

-          Teaching certification/license

-          Demonstrated experience in teaching history at the secondary school level

-          Strong knowledge of historical events, theories, and methodologies

-          Proficiency in creating and implementing effective lesson plans

-          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-          Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students from diverse backgrounds

-          Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment

Job Role:

As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive history lessons that cater to various learning styles and abilities. You will create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to participate and explore historical concepts, events, and themes. Your role will involve:

-          Designing engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum and educational standards

-          Utilising innovative teaching methodologies and resources to enhance learning experiences

-          Assessing and evaluating students' progress through tests, assignments, and discussions

-          Providing constructive feedback and support to students to encourage academic growth

-          Collaborating with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary approaches and projects

-          Participating in faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events

-          Maintaining accurate records of students' performance and achievements

About the School: 

The School is a mixed Secondary school based in Southampton for students aged from 11+ years with around 800 students in total. The Secondary school comes with a Good reputation and has supportive team members that cares deeply for their values. The school also provides free onsite parking.
