Contract: Full-Time
Salary: £34,398 – £46,839 (MPS/UPS depending on experience)

About the Role
The successful candidate will teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that encourage students to develop confidence in reading, writing, and communication. You will join a supportive department committed to high standards, creativity, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging English lessons that challenge and motivate learners across KS3 and KS4.
- Create well-planned and differentiated learning activities to support all abilities.
- Assess pupil progress effectively and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Promote strong literacy skills and foster a love for reading and literature.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Support the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and events.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Has experience teaching English within a UK secondary school environment.
- Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English education.
- Uses inclusive teaching strategies and maintains high classroom expectations.
- Possesses strong organisational and behaviour management skills.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
