SEN SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Location: Aylesbury
Start: September 2026
Full Time: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £90–£120 per day

As an SEN Support Assistant, you will provide tailored support to students with additional needs, helping them access learning in a structured way.

Key responsibilities
Provide 1:1 or small group support
Assist students with additional needs
Support behaviour and emotional regulation
Adapt tasks to suit learning needs
Work closely with teaching staff
Track progress and provide feedback

The classroom environment
Calm and structured
Focused on individual support
Clear routines are followed
Students feel supported

Skills and experience
Experience with SEN (desirable)
Patience and empathy
Strong communication
Reliability and structure

What success looks like
Students engage more in lessons
Behaviour improves
Confidence increases

Experience with SEN is desirable; training can be provided
