Salary: £29,344–£44,919

As a Secondary Maths Teacher, you will deliver structured lessons that develop student confidence and problem-solving ability.

Key responsibilities
Teach Maths across KS3 and KS4
Deliver clear explanations of key topics
Support problem-solving and reasoning skills
Prepare students for GCSE exams
Reinforce core mathematical processes
Track progress and provide support

The classroom environment
Lessons are structured and consistent
Students follow clear methods
Behaviour is calm
Learning is focused

Skills and experience
Strong Maths subject knowledge
Ability to explain concepts clearly
Organisation and planning
Confident classroom control

What success looks like
Students solve problems independently
Understanding improves steadily

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with maths-related backgrounds
