Are you a qualified and passionate Business Studies and Economics Teacher looking for your next opportunity? Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Hemel Hempstead from September 2026.

This is a fantastic full-time position with full teaching responsibilities, offering the opportunity to teach motivated students across Key Stages 4 and 5. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality Business Studies and Economics lessons, inspiring students and supporting them to achieve their full potential.

About the Role

As a Business Studies and Economics Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Business Studies and Economics lessons across KS4 and KS5.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons in line with departmental schemes of work and curriculum objectives.
  • Take full responsibility for planning, marking, assessment and reporting.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback to support achievement.
  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that promotes high expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and departmental initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • A recognised teaching qualification and experience teaching within a secondary school setting.
  • Ability to teach Business Studies and Economics to KS5 is essential.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young people.
  • Experience delivering GCSE and A-Level Business Studies and Economics is desirable.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A collaborative, adaptable and proactive approach to teaching.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
