Contract: 2.5 days per week- (half a day PPA with job share) Mon, Tues, Weds

 Pay: Paid to scale (£168 – £233 per day)

About the Role:

An average sized, 2 form entry Primary school in the Winchester area is seeking an experienced Year 1 teacher starting February 2026 until the end of the academic year.  This is a role with full class teacher responsibilities.

You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing a Year 1 class, working closely with a year group partner and a full time LSA.  The role includes full teaching responsibilities and offers the opportunity to contribute to wider school life.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Primary Teacher with experience of working in a Year 1 continuous provision classroom
  • Confident in managing classroom routines and expectations.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Skilled in adapting teaching to meet a range of pupil needs, including SEND
  • Consistent, adaptive and inclusive professionals

Requirements

  • UK-recognised teaching qualification.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
  • Compliance with DfE and Safer Recruitment standards.
