PRIMARY KS1 TEACHER

Location: Aylesbury
Start: September 2026
Full Time: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £29,344–£44,919

As a KS1 Teacher, your role is to build those foundations — teaching early literacy, numeracy, and behaviour expectations that shape how pupils learn long-term.

Key responsibilities
Teach KS1 curriculum including phonics, literacy, and maths
Deliver structured and engaging lessons
Build and maintain clear classroom routines
Support social and emotional development
Track progress and support different learning needs
Work closely with parents and support staff

The classroom environment
Routines are consistent and predictable
Pupils feel secure and supported
Learning is structured but approachable
Behaviour expectations are clear

Skills and experience
Experience in KS1 or early primary teaching
Strong understanding of phonics delivery
Patient and structured teaching approach
Good communication skills

What success looks like
Pupils become more independent
Confidence in reading and writing increases
Behaviour becomes consistent
Learning habits improve

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with KS1 or early years experience
