SEND Primary Teacher – Specialist School

Location - Southampton

Pay - £160–£250 per day

Contact times-  Full-time (08:30–15:30) Temporary until July with potential to be permanent

Supply Desk are seeking an SEND Primary Teacher to join a specialist school in the Southampton area. The school is well respected within the area for supporting children with a range of needs through creative and engaging tasks that are specifically tailored to ensure pupils’ success.

The Role

• Teach a small class of children with additional learning and physical needs (approx. 8 pupils).
• Deliver Maths, English, Phonics, alongside social and life skills.
• Support pupils in achieving personalised SEMH and academic targets.
• Full-time position, with the option of a permanent contract.
• Job share (3–4 days per week) will be considered.

Candidate Profile

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) required.
• Previous experience in SEND (essential).
• Strong knowledge of KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
• Confident in behaviour and classroom management.
• Resilient, empathetic, and enthusiastic.
• Experience in targeted interventions (preferred).
