Pay – £140.86 - £215 per day (depending on experience)

Location - Bognor

Hours - 8am – 4PM

Temporary Full-time with the potential to become permanent

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our team starting ASAP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and language, with the ability to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5).

Responsibilities

-          Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons.

-          Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

-          Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and department initiatives.

-          Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning.

-          Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events and activities.

-          Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational best practices and developments.

Requirements

-          Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

-          A degree in English or a related field.

-          Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with students.

-          Excellent communication and organizational skills.

-          Commitment to continuous professional development.

-          Desirable

-          Experience teaching English at the GCSE and A-Level.

-          Familiarity with the latest educational technology and methods.

-          Enthusiasm for extracurricular activities, particularly in literature and the arts.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Proven track record of raising attainment
  • Be confident and adaptable to different environments
  • Have strong classroom management skills
  • Be able to deliver Art & Design in a fun and engaging way that students can relate 
  • ·         Current valid DBS or the willingness to obtain one
  • You will be required to work confidently with Key Stage 3-5 pupils.
