  • Model outstanding teaching and support colleagues through coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Promote participation in a wide range of sports, ensuring inclusivity and engagement for all students.
  • Oversee assessment and progress tracking to secure strong outcomes across KS3 and KS4.
  • Lead extracurricular sport and whole‑school initiatives that enrich student experience and build school pride.
  • Ensure a safe, positive, and respectful learning environment in line with the school’s behaviour expectations.
  • Contribute to wider school leadership and uphold the school’s ethos of ambition, respect, and community.

Requirements

  • Degree in Physical Education or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in curriculum development or departmental responsibility.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management.
  • A commitment to developing confident, healthy, and resilient young people.

Benefits

  • Competitive daily rate (adjustable for leadership level).
  • Supportive and collaborative school community.
