About the Role

Do you enjoy making a positive impact on children’s learning and development? We are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work with pupils who require additional support in the classroom.

This role offers the opportunity to gain experience across a range of educational settings, supporting children with a variety of needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils on a one-to-one basis or within small groups.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
  • Encourage pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development.
  • Adapt classroom activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility, reliability, and enthusiasm for supporting learning.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
