Supply Desk is working in partnership with a friendly, inclusive, and supportive primary school in Burnham to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Year 4 Teacher for a September start.

This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about Lower Key Stage 2, confident delivering the Year 4 curriculum, and dedicated to supporting pupils as they continue to build independence, confidence, and key academic skills.

The Role

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will deliver a structured and engaging curriculum that supports pupils through Lower KS2, helping to develop strong foundations in core subjects while encouraging curiosity, collaboration, and resilience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Year 4 National Curriculum
• Teaching high-quality English and Maths, alongside the wider curriculum
• Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs
• Differentiating learning to support a range of abilities, including SEND and EAL pupils
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Encouraging pupil independence and positive learning behaviours
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues
• Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Year 4 or Lower Key Stage 2
  (ECTs welcome with relevant KS2 placements)
• Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• A positive, patient, and enthusiastic teaching approach
• Availability for a September start
• Ability to commute to Burnham
