Location: Basingstoke Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Long‑term cover until July 2027 (potential to go permanent) Pay: £168 – £250 per day (dependent on experience)

 The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join the school from September 2026.

This role is suitable for both ECTs looking for a supportive start to their teaching career and experienced Maths teachers seeking a collaborative, well‑resourced department with strong leadership.

You will deliver high‑quality Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop confidence, problem‑solving skills, and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.

 Key Responsibilities

• Teach engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 that build fluency, reasoning, and problem‑solving.

• Plan and deliver curriculum‑aligned schemes of work that support progress for learners of all abilities.

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that reflects the school’s behaviour expectations and values.

• Contribute to departmental development through collaboration and sharing of best practice.

• Support numeracy initiatives and wider school enrichment that strengthen students’ confidence and enjoyment of Maths.

• Uphold the school’s ethos of ambition, kindness, and community.

 Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• Degree in Mathematics or a related discipline.

• Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 (ECTs with placement experience welcome).

• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum expectations.

• Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.

• A commitment to developing confident, resilient, and motivated young mathematicians.
