We are seeking a Design & Technology Teacher, with the ability to teach Food Technology, to join a successful secondary school in the Southampton area. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a well-established and collaborative department, delivering engaging and practical lessons that inspire students to achieve their best.

You will play a key role in fostering a positive and aspirational learning environment where students develop both practical and theoretical skills across the Technology curriculum.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Delivering high-quality Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teaching Food Technology and contributing to wider Technology subjects
• Planning engaging practical and theory-based lessons
• Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies to raise attainment
• Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice
• Promoting a positive and engaging learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology
• Ability to teach Food Technology
• Experience teaching in a secondary school setting (ECTs welcome)
• Ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students
• A proactive, enthusiastic and reflective approach
• Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for all students
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
