Supply Desk is working with a welcoming and supportive school in Hazelmere, who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. About the Role

This role involves teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5 depending on experience). You will deliver engaging lessons that support students’ reading, writing, and communication skills while fostering a love of literature and language.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
  • Plan, mark, and assess in line with school expectations
  • Support students’ progress, confidence, and literacy development
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive English department

Who This Role Suits

This position is suitable for experienced teachers, ECTs, or strong unqualified teachers with relevant classroom experience who are confident stepping into a role quickly.

You will be well suited if you:

  • Have recent experience teaching English in UK schools
  • Hold QTS (desirable but not essential)
  • Are confident managing classroom behaviour and engagement
  • Can make English accessible, engaging, and relevant
  • Are reliable, adaptable, and available for an ASAP start
