PRIMARY YEAR 3 TEACHER

Location: Aylesbury
Start: September 2026
Full Time: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £29,344–£44,919

Year 3 is where primary school becomes more independent.
Pupils are ready to take more responsibility — they just need the structure to do it.

As a Year 3 Teacher, you will guide pupils through this transition, building confidence, organisation, and consistency in their learning.

Key responsibilities
Teach the Year 3 curriculum across all subjects
Plan lessons with clear structure and purpose
Support pupils with varying abilities
Develop independence and classroom routines
Track and monitor progress
Communicate with parents and staff

The classroom environment
Clear expectations are in place
Lessons are structured and predictable
Pupils feel supported and challenged
Behaviour is calm and consistent

Skills and experience
Experience in KS2 teaching preferred
Strong classroom management
Ability to plan engaging and structured lessons
Good organisation and communication

What success looks like
Pupils work more independently
Confidence increases across subjects
Behaviour becomes more consistent
Progress is steady and visible

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with KS2 experience
