Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SLD Teacher to work in a specialist SEN setting based in Cippenham. This role is ideal for a teacher with experience supporting pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) who is committed to delivering personalised, meaningful learning experiences.

This is a September start opportunity, offering a rewarding role within a structured and supportive SEN environment.

The Role

As an SLD Teacher, you will plan and deliver highly personalised lessons designed to meet the complex learning, communication, and developmental needs of pupils with SLD. You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals to deliver engaging learning aligned with pupils’ EHCPs.

You may be supporting pupils with:

• Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
• Autism (ASC)
• Complex learning needs
• Communication and sensory needs
• Physical and medical needs

The role is based within a specialist SEN school in the Cippenham area, offering structured routines, strong multidisciplinary support, and small class sizes.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
• Experience teaching pupils with SLD or complex SEN
• Strong understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning approaches
• Confident in adapting curriculum content to meet sensory and developmental needs
• Excellent behaviour management through positive and inclusive practice
• Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Available for a September start in Cippenham / Maidenhead
