Daily Rate: £92.63 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable General Teaching Assistants to support schools in Uckfield and the surrounding areas. This role would suit experienced Teaching Assistants as well as individuals looking to gain classroom experience and begin a career within education.

About the Role

Are you passionate about supporting children in the classroom and helping them reach their full potential? We are looking for proactive and adaptable General Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary and secondary school settings.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will support teachers with classroom activities, assist pupils with learning tasks, and contribute to a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging classroom lessons.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning.
• Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
• Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and positive behaviour.
• Assist with classroom organisation and daily routines.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• A positive, patient, and supportive attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
