About the Opportunity

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking primary school in Aylesbury from Easter 2026. This is a full-time temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the potential to secure a permanent contract following a successful initial placement period.

This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils in the early stages of their primary education, building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social development. You will play a key role in nurturing curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning within a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum, meeting the needs of all learners.

• Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that supports pupils’ academic and personal development.

• Assess and monitor pupil progress, using formative and summative assessment to inform planning and interventions.

• Support the development of early reading, writing, and mathematical skills through structured and engaging approaches.

• Promote positive behaviour and establish clear routines that encourage independence and resilience.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership to enhance teaching and learning across the school.

• Maintain effective communication with parents and carers to support pupil progress and wellbeing.

• Participate fully in staff meetings, school initiatives, and ongoing CPD opportunities.

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 1.

• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early assessment frameworks.

• Passionate about fostering a love of learning in young children.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• A reflective and proactive practitioner committed to continuous professional development.
