COMPUTER SCIENCE TEACHER (KS3–KS4)

Location: Aylesbury
Start: September 2026
Full Time: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £29,344–£44,919

If students don’t understand the steps, they can’t solve the problem.
Your role is to show them exactly how.

As a Computer Science Teacher, you will teach KS3 and KS4 students how to approach problems logically, build solutions, and understand how systems work.

Key responsibilities
Teach Computer Science across KS3 and KS4
Deliver lessons covering programming and theory
Break down problems into clear steps
Support students in developing logical thinking
Prepare pupils for GCSE coursework and exams
Track progress and provide feedback
Maintain structured and focused lessons

The classroom environment
Lessons are organised and clear
Students understand what they are doing
Work is completed step by step
Behaviour is consistent and well managed

Skills and experience
Experience teaching Computer Science or ICT
Strong technical or computing background
Clear explanation skills
Organisation and classroom management

What success looks like
Students complete tasks independently
Confidence improves in problem-solving
Work becomes more accurate over time

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with computing or technical backgrounds
