BUSINESS STUDIES TEACHER (KS4)

Location: Aylesbury
Start: September 2026
Full Time: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £29,344–£44,919

Students often know the answer — they just don’t know how to explain it.
That’s the gap you close.

As a Business Studies Teacher, you will teach KS4 students how to structure their thinking, apply knowledge, and write clear, reasoned answers.

Key responsibilities
Teach GCSE Business Studies
Explain key concepts such as finance, marketing, and operations
Develop structured written responses
Support coursework and exam preparation
Track student progress
Maintain a focused classroom environment

The classroom environment
Students understand how to approach questions
Lessons are structured and purposeful
Behaviour is consistent and calm
Learning builds over time

Skills and experience
Experience teaching Business Studies or related subject
Strong understanding of GCSE requirements
Clear explanation skills
Confident classroom management

What success looks like
Students improve in written responses
Answers become more structured
Confidence increases before exams

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with business, economics, or finance backgrounds
