PSYCHOLOGY TEACHER (KS4–KS5)

Full Time: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £29,344–£44,919

Students are interested in behaviour straight away.
Your role is helping them understand it properly.

As a Secondary Psychology Teacher, you will teach KS4 and KS5 students key psychological theories, research methods, and analytical skills through structured and academically focused lessons.

Key responsibilities
Teach Psychology across KS4 and KS5
Deliver lessons on key topics such as memory, behaviour, and development
Support structured essay writing and exam technique
Teach research methods and analysis
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level exams
Track progress and provide targeted feedback
Maintain organised and focused lessons

The classroom environment
Lessons are structured and academically driven
Students understand how to approach questions
Discussion is controlled and purposeful
Behaviour remains calm

Skills and experience
Experience teaching Psychology or relevant subject
Strong academic background
Clear explanation and communication skills
Confident classroom management

What success looks like
Students develop strong written responses
Improved understanding of key concepts
Confidence increases in assessments

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with psychology or social science backgrounds
