Daily Rate: £130–£160 per day for daily supply | Paid to scale for long-term roles with full PPA

About the Role

We are looking for adaptable and passionate Science Teachers to deliver engaging and creative lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is desirable but not essential). This flexible opportunity allows you to work in a variety of school settings, build valuable experience, and make a meaningful impact on pupils’ learning and development.

Whether your specialism is Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, we have opportunities to suit your expertise. Whether you’re looking for daily supply, short-term cover, or long-term roles, we can offer part-time or full-time positions to suit your availability from September.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan and teach lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Adapt confidently to different school environments and follow each school’s policies
  • Maintain strong classroom management and promote a positive learning environment
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress in line with school expectations
  • Support students in developing scientific knowledge and practical skills

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
  • Familiarity with the UK secondary curriculum
  • Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
