About the Role

The school is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join the team for a maternity cover position running until March 2027. The start date is flexible, with appointments available from after the Easter holidays or from September.The role is suitable for an ECT seeking a position in a supportive Science department or an experienced Science teacher.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Delivering well‑structured, engaging lessons that support the school’s curriculum
• Using assessment to monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment
• Contributing to the collaborative work of the Science department and wider school community

Ideal Candidate

• UK‑qualified teacher with QTS (or working towards it)
• Recent experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for high‑quality teaching
• Confident classroom practitioner with effective behaviour management
• Committed to safeguarding and maintaining high professional standards
