Salary: £34,398 – £52,490 per year

Supply Desk is proud to be working with a high-performing and forward-thinking secondary school with a strong sixth form in Chesham, who are seeking a Specialist Chemistry Teacher to join their successful Science department from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and knowledgeable Chemistry practitioner to teach within a well-resourced, supportive, and ambitious school environment, with the potential to teach Chemistry up to A Level.

The Role

This is a full-time Chemistry teaching position across KS3, KS4, and KS5, offering the opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching and learning within a collaborative Science department.

In this role, you will:

  • Teach Chemistry across KS3, KS4, and A Level (KS5)
  • Deliver clear, engaging, and conceptually strong lessons
  • Inspire students through practical experimentation and scientific enquiry
  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A Level examinations
  • Plan, assess, and track progress to ensure strong academic outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

Who This Role Suits

This role would suit an experienced Chemistry specialist, an ECT, or a confident practitioner able to teach Chemistry at A Level.

You will be well suited if you:

  • Have recent experience teaching Chemistry, ideally up to A Level
  • Hold QTS (unqualified teachers also welcome to apply)
  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and classroom practice
  • Can explain complex chemical concepts clearly and confidently
  • Have strong behaviour management and high expectations of students
  • Are passionate about Science education and student progress
