Role Overview

This KS2 teaching role offers the opportunity to take full responsibility for a class within a supportive and well‑structured primary school. You will be expected to deliver high‑quality teaching across the Key Stage 2 curriculum while promoting academic progress, independence, and positive learning behaviours.

The school is seeking a teacher who understands the importance of consistency, clear routines, and high expectations, while also being adaptable to the individual needs of pupils.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the KS2 National Curriculum
• Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative assessment methods
• Differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities, including SEND and higher attainers
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Maintain accurate records of progress and attainment
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues
• Contribute to staff meetings, planning sessions, and school events

Essential Skills and Experience

• Experience teaching within KS2
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Clear and confident classroom management strategies
• Ability to plan structured lessons with measurable outcomes
• Strong communication and organisation skills
