Salary: £29,344-£44,919

Role Purpose

This KS3 PE teaching position focuses on developing pupils’ physical literacy, teamwork, resilience, and confidence during the early years of secondary education. You will deliver a broad PE curriculum designed to engage all learners, regardless of prior ability.

Main Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured KS3 PE lessons aligned with the national curriculum
• Teach a range of activities including team sports, individual disciplines and fitness
• Promote inclusion and encourage participation from all pupils
• Manage large groups safely and effectively in practical environments
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and organisation during lessons
• Assess progress in skill development and physical understanding
• Support pupils’ social development through teamwork and cooperation
• Maintain equipment and ensure health and safety standards are met

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience teaching PE at secondary level
• Strong classroom and practical‑space management
• Clear communication and leadership skills
• Ability to motivate and engage reluctant learners
• Organised and proactive teaching approach
