KS1 & EYFS LEAD TEACHER

Location: Luton
Start: September 2026
Full Time: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £29,344–£44,919

As a KS1 & EYFS Lead, you will take responsibility for early years and Key Stage 1 provision, ensuring high-quality teaching, structured learning, and consistent development across the phase.

Key responsibilities
Lead EYFS and KS1 teaching and learning
Support staff development and consistency
Oversee curriculum delivery and planning
Monitor pupil progress across early years and KS1
Ensure strong routines and expectations
Work with senior leadership and support staff
Maintain high-quality learning environments

The classroom environment
Learning is structured and purposeful
Pupils feel supported and engaged
Teaching is consistent across the phase
Behaviour is calm and predictable

Skills and experience
Experience teaching EYFS and KS1
Leadership or phase lead experience preferred
Strong knowledge of early development
Organisation and communication skills

What success looks like
Improved early outcomes
Consistent teaching across the phase
Strong pupil engagement and development

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with strong early years leadership experience
