Salary: £29,344–£44,919

It’s understanding the world and how people interact with it.

As a Secondary Geography Teacher, you will help students connect physical and human geography through structured lessons and clear explanations.

Key responsibilities
Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4
Cover topics such as climate, population, and ecosystems
Develop map-reading and analytical skills
Support exam preparation and case study knowledge
Track student progress and provide feedback
Maintain structured and engaging lessons

The classroom environment
Lessons are structured and informative
Students make clear real-world connections
Behaviour is calm and focused
Learning builds over time

Skills and experience
Strong Geography subject knowledge
Clear communication skills
Organisation and planning
Confident classroom management

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with Geography or environmental backgrounds
