Role: KS2 Supply Teacher
Location: Brighton and Hove
Contract: Part-Time / Flexible Supply
Start Date: Ongoing from September 2026
Daily Rate: £120 – £135

Supply Desk is working in partnership with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Brighton and Hove, who are seeking adaptable and enthusiastic KS2 Supply Teachers to join them on a flexible, part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers looking to maintain a healthy work-life balance while continuing to make a positive impact in local schools.

About the Role

As a KS2 Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 2, covering planned absences, short-term placements, and ad hoc supply. You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 national curriculum
  • Adapt teaching to suit a range of learning abilities and classroom environments
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
  • Follow lesson plans provided, with flexibility to respond to pupil needs
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress where required
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and the wider school community

Candidate Profile

  • Experience teaching within a primary school setting, ideally KS2 (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • A flexible, confident, and proactive approach
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A genuine passion for teaching and supporting children’s development

Requirements

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Two professional teaching references
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
