MFL Teacher (French / German) – September Start

Location: Totteridge
Contract: Full Time
Salary: £34,398 – £52,490 per year

Supply Desk is working in partnership with a supportive and high-achieving secondary school in Totteridge, who are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic MFL Teacher specialising in French and/or German to join their team from September. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students to develop confidence in language learning and cultural understanding.

The Role

This role is about more than vocabulary and grammar — it’s about communication, culture, and confidence.

In this role, you will:

  • Teach French and/or German across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
  • Encourage students to communicate confidently in the target language
  • Foster an appreciation for languages and global cultures
  • Use creative teaching strategies and differentiated learning to support all abilities
  • Track progress and prepare students effectively for assessments and exams

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an MFL Teacher who can ignite enthusiasm for language learning.

You’ll ideally:

  • Hold QTS, PGCE, ECT status, or equivalent
    (unqualified teachers with strong subject knowledge may be considered)
  • Have experience teaching French and/or German in a secondary school setting
  • Be confident managing a classroom and delivering engaging lessons
  • Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for languages
  • Be organised, motivated, and committed to student progress
  • Be available to start in September
