Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Great Missenden, who are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to nurture artistic talent and inspire students to express themselves through a wide range of visual media.

The Role

This role goes beyond teaching techniques — it’s about developing confidence, imagination, and creative thinking.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and structured Art lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Teach a variety of disciplines such as drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and design
  • Encourage students to experiment, take creative risks, and develop their own artistic style
  • Create a positive and inclusive studio environment where all abilities can thrive
  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress through constructive feedback
  • Contribute to displays, exhibitions, and extracurricular creative opportunities

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an Art Teacher who can inspire enthusiasm and creativity in every learner.

You will ideally:

  • Hold QTS, PGCE, ECT status, or equivalent
    (unqualified teachers with relevant experience considered)
  • Have recent experience teaching Art in a secondary school setting
  • Be confident delivering both practical and theory-based lessons
  • Have strong classroom management skills
  • Be creative, organised, and passionate about Art education
  • Be available to start in September
